Focus Youth Project provides a whole host of recreational and educational training opportunities for 12 to 25 year olds, ranging from basic First Aid training courses to qualified Instructors in mountaineering, kayaking, powerboating, sailing, skiing and trail cycle leader.
At present, the project hosts an Outdoor Training Programme.
The main aims of this programme are to provide people living in the Viewpark, Fallside and Birkenshaw areas of North Lanarkshire the opportunity to gain skills, experience and nationally recognized qualifications in various outdoor activities. In the past, this training has been used by members as a route to a healthier life, a new career, further education or simply just for fun!
